Hotel virtual tours: what guests want to see before they book
/ 4 min read
Guests compare hotels on photos, and photos are taken to flatter. A 360 tour shows the whole room in one look, which is often more reassuring than any single image. It also answers the small questions that decide a booking: where the desk is, how much space there is around the bed, what the window actually faces.
What to include
- One scene for each room category, captured from the door and from the window
- The bathroom, which guests care about more than most hotels expect
- Lobby, restaurant and bar, with ambient audio if you have it
- Pool, spa, gym and any view you are proud of
- Banquet halls and lawns for event enquiries
Where to place it
Embed each room tour on the matching room page, close to the booking button. A guest deciding between two categories can compare them without leaving the page. Link the venue tour from your weddings and events page, and send it to planners before a site visit.
Keep it clean
Hotel tours on Astra3D are showcases: scenes, navigation, your logo, audio and video, without forms or pop-ups in the way. The goal is to let the property speak, then hand the guest back to your booking flow.
